Fieldwork
Level I
The Level I experiences will be during the Spring semester and Fall semesters in years
one (1) and two (2) of the program. The purpose of Level I Fieldwork is to provide
each student with an introduction to fieldwork, have an opportunity to apply the knowledge
they have gained in the didactic portion of the program, and to grow in their understanding
of the needs of their clients (AOTA.org, 2023). Fieldwork experiences will be in traditional
and nontraditional settings. The three (3) Level I Fieldwork rotations are full-time
for one (1) week each.
Level II
The Level II experiences are comprised of two twelve (12) week sessions occurring during the Summer and Fall semesters of a student鈥檚 final year of study. The purpose of Level II Fieldwork is to 鈥渄evelop competent, entry-level, generalist occupational therapists鈥� (AOTA.org, 2023, p. 39).
